The cattle come grazing

Amongst the bindies and the birds

He said he loved you

But it sounded absurd

Red dirt for miles

Escape from the burn

Counter culture creatures

Left alone to discern

The land of country poisoned

Drenched in lead and in greed

19 and a baby inside

To grow and to feed

Being called to life  

Something bigger than you know

his advances go cold

But she won’t let me go
